The  Central Washington University Bargaining Team yesterday (Sept. 7) reached tentative agreement on a new two-year contract that will bring pay raises and other significant increases to non-economic articles.

The amount of the across-the-board raises will be equal to the amount agreed to at the General Government table. That amount isn’t known yet because the General Government team was still in negotiations as of late Thursday afternoon.

In addition to that “me-too” amount, $30,000 will be divided equally amongst the members for a one-time only lump sum payment of approximately $180 each). Added language that allows for special pay provisions to be allowed. The tentative agreement also has language that allows that call back penalty hours may be converted to comp time.

CWU members should watch their mail for more comprehensive information and details on online contract ratification voting.

IMPORTANT! Keep calling the governor’s office.

Funding for the CWU compensation package goes through the governor’s office. Join all other bargaining tables in continuing to call the governor to support fair contracts.

Please call AGAIN today. The Governor’s office is open 8am-5pm. Call back if you don’t get through. They are tallying and your voice counts!
