The committee is currently working on:

  • Developing “Outsourcing Watch” to identify and report outsourcing of members work.
  • Establishing more apprenticeship programs in different state agencies.
  • Teaming up with our Legislative and Political Action (LPA) Department for the upcoming legislative session.
  • Trades classification issues.

The WFSE Skilled Labor and Trades Committee exists to promote professional standards of performance and safety within the skilled labor and trades, achieving recognition of our skill sets, as reflected in fair wages and benefits.

The Skilled Labor and Trades Committee is a voice to the legislature, working to improve public service through collective bargaining and
political action for the greater welfare of all people.
