On the eve of a big vote on job actions up to and including strike actions at The Evergreen State College, another Federation local executive board has added its support.

To recap, the vote on job actions up to and including strike action will take place among members of The Evergreen State College Student Support Services Staff Union Bargaining Unit, tomorrow, Wednesday, May 15. Balloting will be 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. in TESC’s Red Square near the Library. The Federation Executive Board on Friday authorized the vote.

The recommendation is to pledge up to $5,000 to fund Local 53 members to travel to picket lines to support striking Evergreen employees, if strike actions occur.
