TESC Student Support Services Staff Union bargaining update, 11/14/12



TESC Non-Management Exempt Staff is now TESC Student Support Services Staff Union

Our bargaining team reached tentative agreement on two more articles during today’s bargaining session:

  • Safety and Health;
  • Resignation and Abandonment.

The remaining issues to be resolved are coming down to compensation, due process rights for disciplinary actions (“just cause”), seniority, hiring and layoff processes. Our team had a good conversation with the management team about the importance of addressing workload concerns in a timely and effective manner. The next bargaining session on 12/4/12 will be a “caucus” day to allow both teams time to create proposals.

Our team will also use some time on 12/4 to bring our new team members up to speed – ballots are being delivered this week. Please vote!

Our next session with management is scheduled for 12/18/12.
