The bargaining team for Classified Staff at The Evergreen State College in Olympia kicked negotiations today (May 19) on the next (2017-2019) contract, which covers about 320 TESC classified workers. Bargaining was scheduled to resume Friday.

The team met with management and passed their initial contract proposals (without the compensation article or discussion items for Law Enforcement Officer-specific issues).

After a caucus, management returned agreeing to 18 articles that were status quo (meaning neither side proposed changing them).

Also, a package of 10 articles with employer-initiated changes and agreeing to Union initial proposal.
