UW Bargaining Update



A big day at the UW Bargaining Team. Here’s the report submitted by the team’s Communications Officer Joe Davenport:

“Your team met for our sixth session with UW management. The team presented our entire first economic proposals.

“We are seeking not only Cost-of-Living Adjustment (COLA) raises to make up for lost time, but also specific changes to pay tables, standby pay, call back pay and assignment pays (many of these ideas came directly from members on the floor).

“Management has said they will not be able to respond until late August or early September when the salary survey they commissioned is ready.

“At our next session we will get management’s reply to many of our non-economic proposals on working conditions.

“Stand by for possible calls to action soon.”
