That agreement takes effect July 1, 2015, and runs through June 30, 2017. That tentative agreement was reached Sept. 24. WSU members ratified that tentative agreement on Sept. 30 by a vote of 45-1.

The Washington State University Bargaining Team reached tentative agreement Wednesday night (Sept. 24) on their new contract that will take effect July 1, 2015, and run through June 30, 2017.

It includes pay raises totaling 4.8 percent over the two years of the agreement.

The WSU Bargaining Team voted to recommend ratification.

MAJOR GOALS ACHIEVED:

•    3% increase in 2015; 1.8% in 2016  (see Art. 24).
•    Promotions to the entry step or two step increase not to exceed Step M, whichever is greater (see Art. 24).
•    Elevation to the entry step or two-step increase not to exceed Step M, whichever is greater (see Art. 24).
•    Reallocation position salary to be set at a minimum 2 steps or entry step whichever is greater (see Art. 24)

•    Salary following layoff if current salary exceeds salary range of new position, employee will be placed in Step M (see Art. 24)

•    Status quo on Performance Evaluations (see Art. 9)
•    New language for parental leave (see Art. 21).

Article 24 – Compensation
•    3% across the board increase effective 7/1/15

•    A guaranteed “me-too” to ensure equity with the General Government table:
o    ” The University will follow the State HR General Service Salary Schedule in effect July 1, 2015 through June 30, 2017, unless 24.1A and B reflects a greater overall salary schedule/compensation plan”.
•    Promotion salary to start at entry salary or 2 step increase not to exceed step M, whichever is greater for the employee
•    Elevation salary shall start at entry salary or 2 step increase not to exceed Step M, whichever is greater for the employee
•    Reallocation salary shall start at entry salary or 2 step increase not to exceed Step M, whichever is greater for the employee

•    Salary following layoff if it exceeds current range, the employee shall be placed in Step M
